From webmaster at oubandparents.org Sat Oct 10 00:50:57 2009 From: webmaster at oubandparents.org (Webmaster) Date: Sat, 10 Oct 2009 00:50:57 -0500 Subject: Very minor location change for Saturday Message-ID: (On behalf of Betty, who's spending all waking moments preparing for an outstanding Parents' Day today) The pre-game concert at 1:00 PM today has been moved from the lawn area north of Jacobsen Hall to the North Oval, mostly because after a week of rain, the former location is a giant mud pit. If this is your first visit to campus, don't sweat it -- it's incredibly hard to miss. Here's a map of campus: The normal concert location is just north of Jacobsen Hall, numbered "22" on this map near the top center. Just to the west (left) of that is the North Oval. That's where The Pride warms up before the concert, and on October 10, that's where the concert is as well. You can't miss it. If you're anywhere near the North Oval, you'll see them warming up. If you're in Catlett Music Center ahead of time, you'll follow them over. The old and new locations are within a clear line of sight of each other. You'll hear the band. We're just giving you a heads-up because you signed up for the mailing list just to get notices just like this one. :-) On that same map of campus, Everest Training Center, site of morning rehearsal, is building #65. Catlett Music Center is building #4 in the upper-left corner of the map. Gaylord Family/Oklahoma Memorial Stadium is #59, but it's the big thing that looks like a football stadium. They're all really easy to find on campus. If you get lost and you have E-mail on your cell phone, send me a message at ; I'll try to check in a few times and see if I can do anything to help. Include your cell phone number so I can call you back. I won't be able to check E-mail constantly (and I can't really hear my own cell phone during rehearsal, so calling wouldn't help), but I'll do the best I can for you! --Matt
